Workshop 2016 – preliminary program themes
Last workshop we spoke much about what would we like to get from the next workshop and most of the votes got the practical implementing of various community issues. We put together all the ideas and we offer you these themes:
- Local economy systems, timebanks and food banks – time bank is a way of giving and receiving activities to build supportive networks and strong communities. Food banks builds an advantages of buying food in large scales for whole community and distributing small portions of it for individuals.
- Building a permaculture farm – as a permaculture farm we mean a place that uses no chemicals, but the permaculture principles as a main way of living together with the nature and surrounding.
- Water management – we believe everybody recognizes the rising problem of water supply during hot summers as well as dry winters, so building on the permaculture knowledge from the skilled lectors, we will focus more on preserving and managing the water resources.
- Solving the community problems – we will lear various methods of solving problems in community – collaborative design, systemic constellations, mediation, conflict management, etc.
Beside these main themes we will visit the communities, discuss among participants and try to find solution of real case studies (eg. designing a small lake) to get as much as possible from shared knowledge. We will visit a community where the permaculture land rebuilding just started in a natural way, so you and the lectors will be a part of designing the place and making decisions literally from the scratch to learn how you can make it in your own place.
